This clock is a picture of the famous "Peter" pelican from Hervey Bay in Queensland Australia. Famous because an unwell pensioner down on his luck found this bird doing to him what made him famous — Leaning against him as he fished for whiting off the beach. He discovered as many people before him had, that the bird was very human friendly.
The problem was... about 5000 other people already knew this and were quite protective towards the bird. So much so that a court case eventuated because feeding wild animals is illegal in Queensland. Anyway... All this happened in 2002.
